The short version: we provide a paid manuscript review service. You keep every right to your work. We never publish it, claim authorship of it, or sell it to anyone — our job is strictly to review it and hand you back a report, exactly as you'd expect from a professional service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or submitting a manuscript to AP-Review, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. The Service We Provide

AP-Review is a manuscript review and quality-assurance service. Depending on what you select and pay for, we provide one or more of the following on a given submission:

Double-blind peer review by an independent reviewer;
Plagiarism/similarity screening;
AI-generated content detection;
Citation accuracy and formatting review.

We are an independent review service. We are not a publisher. We do not publish, list, distribute, or submit your manuscript to any journal, conference, or repository on your behalf unless you separately and explicitly engage us to do so in writing. A review completed through AP-Review does not guarantee acceptance, publication, or any particular outcome with any third-party journal or publisher.

3. Your Account

You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Manuscript Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain all right, title, and interest — including copyright — in every manuscript and supporting document you submit. Submitting your manuscript to AP-Review:

Does not transfer any ownership or copyright to AP-Review;
Does not grant AP-Review any right to publish, distribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly display your manuscript;
Does not permit AP-Review to use your manuscript's content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence model or other product;
Grants AP-Review only the limited, revocable right to process, store, and transmit your manuscript strictly as needed to deliver the review services you selected (for example, forwarding text to a plagiarism-detection engine to generate your requested report).

You confirm that you have the right to submit the manuscript for review (for example, that you are an author, co-author with authorization from your co-authors, or otherwise authorized to submit it), and that doing so does not infringe any third party's rights.

5. Confidentiality

We treat every submitted manuscript as confidential. Reviewers and staff granted access to your manuscript for the purpose of completing your review are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not copy, redistribute, cite, discuss publicly, or otherwise use your unpublished work outside the scope of the review assignment.

6. Fees & Payment

Fees for each review service are shown at the time of submission and may be paid in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or US Dollars (USD) via our supported payment gateways, or by direct bank transfer where offered.
Your submission moves to "Awaiting Review" only once payment has been confirmed, either automatically by our payment gateway or manually by our team upon confirming receipt of a bank transfer.
Fees are generally non-refundable once a reviewer has been assigned or work on your report has begun. If you believe you were charged in error, or a service could not be delivered, contact support promptly — we review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Currency exchange rates and service pricing may be updated from time to time; the price shown to you at the time of submission is the price that applies to that submission.

7. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as a guide for each service and are not a guaranteed delivery deadline. We will notify you of any material delay to your submission.

8. Reviewer Independence

Reviewers assigned to your manuscript provide independent professional opinions. AP-Review does not guarantee any particular finding, score, or recommendation, and reviewer opinions do not constitute a guarantee of publishability, originality, or acceptance by any third party.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit any material you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes another party's intellectual property or other rights;
Submit malicious files or attempt to circumvent our file validation and security controls;
Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or submissions;
Misrepresent your identity, institutional affiliation, or authorship status.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and its services are provided "as is." While we take reasonable care in delivering accurate, professional review services, we make no warranty that reports will be error-free, that results from third-party plagiarism/AI-detection engines are exhaustive or infallible, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AP-Review's total liability arising from or relating to these Terms or the services provided is limited to the amount you paid for the specific submission giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost publication opportunities, arising from use of the Platform.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Platform. Termination does not affect fees already incurred for services rendered.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation via our support channels before any formal proceedings are pursued.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
